Description

Math notation made easy

HappyKey provides you with a simple keyboard with many useful math symbols. It will fulfill all of your math needs with numbers, superscripts, pi, math operators and relations, infinity, and beyond.

HappyKey works with Happy Grader (happygrader.com), allowing you to be even happier when grading exams. Happy Grader is a PC application that helps teachers grade happy by automating the grading process while utilizing Google Forms and Microsoft Excel. Students can enter answers to their math tests with HappyKey, and teachers can be sure that there will be continuity across answers, since all students will be using the same keyboard characters.

Install the app first, then to setup the keyboard go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards > Add New Keyboard > HappyKey

Credit for the keyboard functionality and design goes to the open source Tasty Imitation Keyboard by Alexei Baboulevitch (GitHub user archagon).

Where is it

Either I can’t find it or it isn’t there but I wish there was a division symbol

Developer Response ,

Hello,
The division symbol is accessible by holding down on the / key and releasing on the ÷ key. Thanks for using HappyKey!

Free and Great

I was scouting the internet for hours looking for a free keyboard that uses math notation and couldn’t find any that weren’t a few dollars, a subscription service or upwards of $24!!! This app is free and works perfectly! I wish there were differentials and integral symbols but I digress this is an amazing keyboard that adds super- and subscript functionality FOR FREE! Along with a few nifty math terms! I love it!

The tiny numbers are where?

On the App Store, the second screen shows much smaller numbers that I assumed would be superscript or subscript numbers. But on my phone it’s all large numbers, with the clunky way of using the ^ symbol to make a superscript that still is just a large size number.

Developer Response ,

Hello,
To access the superscript or subscript numbers, tap and hold on the full-sized number on the first screen. You should see a pop out that shows the number with superscript and subscript options. Release your finger over whichever option you want to type.

Thank you for your feedback and for using HappyKey!
