LENS SIMULATION
Leica LUX brings the world of Leica to your iPhone by imitating a variety of legendary Leica lenses. You can explore the unique world of Leica lenses, each offering its own image style. Lens simulations include classics – such as the Summilux-M 28mm f/1.4 ASPH. and the Noctilux-M 50mm f/1.2 ASPH. – the app is continuously being expanded to include additional lenses. The custom software engine also creates bokeh quality images, a style synonymous with Leica photography, directly in your iPhone.
ICONIC LEICA LOOKS
Leica LUX is based on Leica's own renowned colour science and offers the same colour corrections and film presets used in Leica cameras. These include Leica Looks such as Leica Classic, Leica Contemporary, Leica Black & White and Leica Vivid. A total of twelve Looks are available that open the door to artistic expression, giving your images rich textures, emotional nuance and individuality.

I am obsessed with taking photos on this app! I’ve always been into cell phone photography but this app has taken my pictures to the next level. My friends all know I use it. My one problem (aside from the app being a little glitchy sometimes)- can you add the functionality to allow after edits? I want to be able to change color filters after the fact instead of having to take five pics with different filters to see which is best. Also if you could allow photos not taken in the app to be edited into different styles and lenses that would be even better. Thanks!

A perfect alternative to an M
I own various Leica cameras and different Leica lenses, based on this I believe I have a good idea of the systems and their differences. I will shorten to say that the quality of the images and the rendition of the simulated images truly resemble the real lenses. The only feedback requests I could ask would be to have the option to take a bracketed image with a mode for identical rendering to merge into a high quality bracketed image. Maybe also an option to tweak the edges of where the blur starts and what it covers? An option to adjust the brightness and contrast after the foto is taken? Even without those feature, the app is wonderful.
Update: Nice app and responsive developers
Update: devs have responded and updated. Assuming this is improved, I like the camera features and Leica image profiles, along with the ability to change settings after shooting. Thanks for fixing the connectivity requirements!
If you pay to upgrade to Pro, then travel to some beautiful place with no data, you cannot use Pro features! “Details about Lux Pro could not be loaded. Please try again later.” Really?!?!? I guess it’s fine if you never leave the city. Please fix this!!!
