WWR: War Robots Game 12+

If you like Mech-style robot battles, this game is what you want. It has excellent graphics and performs well in internet play with either team or death match bouts, five minutes at a time. There is an endless array of robots and upgrades, all with escalating abilities and durabilities. I can't stop playing it--and that is exactly why this game will cost you money: if you want to do well, rather than getting demolished everytime you move, you will have to pay money to upgrade your robot (earning the gold/silver for upgrades in battle could take years to accomplish). Case in point: to obtain a robot in the mid-skills range, I spent nearly $100 in the first month; you can also pay for VIP-status in order to earn more points/gold/silver, a necessity if you want to do well. There are also some bugs--for example, sometimes at the conclusion of a battle, the game will tell you that you fled the battle (even though you didn't) and deny you the points that you earned, and the app itself sometimes crashes. So, while I would love to give this game a 5-star review, the cost of in-app purchases (optional, to be fair) and bugs merrit only 4 stars. It is otherwise FANTASTIC.

I have always enjoyed mech games. I like the visuals in this game, the feel, and most expesially, the fact that it is a game for Mac. Though, possibly adding more player custimazation. Being able to choose your own robots, with differient guns. Instead of upgrading just the weapon until it turns into something else. A campaign mode would also be fantastic, and the ability to CO-OP with others during missions. That would be amazing. Either way, this game is fantastic, and has a vass amount of future potential.

My previous review included some in-depth and detailed suggestions for the Dev, but the Dev is 100% unresponsive to player feedback, so here's an updated review:

Been playing this game for about 8 months. In that time the Dev has made exactly 0 upgrades or improvements to the game. However, they have made several negative changes to in game rewards without alerting the players. There have been hidden bots labeled as "coming soon." but they have yet to be released.

The game itself is simple and mundane. Literally just doing the same thing over and over and over again. There is very little skill or strategy required. In game rewards are minimal and borderline insignificant. The game is also far less enjoyable if you don't purchase a VIP package, which is essentially a subscription. I don't mind spending a little here and there to support a dev, but the dev needs to return the favor and actually grow and improve the game. After 8 months, it's obvious this Dev is only interested in doing the bare minimum to keep the game functioning while investing no time or money into improvements. Too bad because the game has potential.
