Blood Brothers - EP

Blood Brothers - EP

Originally released in 1996 as part of a film documenting the temporary 1995 reunion of Bruce Springsteen with The E Street Band, the five-song Blood Brothers EP soon after went out of print. Reissued digitally in January 2014, it remains a much-valued release among the Springsteen faithful. The decision to add "bonus" tracks to the 1995 Greatest Hits album led to this reunion; four of the five songs here were recorded in the studio in hopes of being added to the set, including a version of Tim Scott McConnell’s “High Hopes” that Springsteen revisited on his 2014 studio album of the same name. “Murder Incorporated” is the live version from the NYC club Tramps that's featured in the promotional video. “Blood Brothers,” which appeared in an acoustic version on Greatest Hits, is here in a full band version. “Secret Garden” has additional strings that were cut from the single. “Without You” had been released with “High Hopes” as a rare single.
