Moving away from her acoustic country and folk roots, the Joburg singer-songwriter now finds herself immersed in a lush environment filled with electric guitars, synths and vast reverbs—produced by Barry Berk. While lyrically this sublime LP vibrates with nostalgia and longing, there remains a distinctly hopeful undercurrent throughout.
