Growing up in Zimbabwe, Larry Herrington spent his formative years around singing, rapping, music-making friends. It wasn’t until he moved to Brisbane as a refugee that he started writing songs himself. His debut EP as Carmouflage Rose cements his reputation as not only an artist at the forefront of Australia’s rapidly growing, diversifying hip-hop scene, but also one who can flip between bewitching R&B, smutty club hits and formidable rap with ease. “Taste” and “Late Nights” are flirtatious and grimy. “Let Me Down” is a melodic duet about lovers at odds.
