MUNAY

MUNAY

With 2018’s “Calma” and its Farruko-infused remix, Puerto Rican singer Pedro Capó slid into the Latin reggae movement with ease. After logging such a colossal hit, many hoped he would continue to create in that pan-Caribbean space—and thankfully he has. From the optimistic opener “Day by Day” to the romantic closer “Would You Let Me Go,” the not-infrequently bilingual MUNAY exudes hope and happiness amid its tropical and tranquil production style. Though he continues to draw from an abundance of reggae vibrations on “Donde Hubo Amor” and the tequila-kissed “La Sábana y los Pies,” Capó keeps his pop options open via the maximalist R&B of “Tu Fanático.”
