Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues (Music From the Motion Picture)

Anchorman 2 finds Will Farrell's mustachioed TV journalist Ron Burgundy navigating the early '80s and the dawn of 24-hour news. Along the way, the audience is treated to an extensive smorgasbord of period music, including huge hit singles and classic radio standards from a variety of genres. The featured music runs the gamut from old-school hip-hop ("White Lines" by Grandmaster Melle Mel) to quintessential soft rock (Christopher Cross and Michael McDonald's "Ride Like the Wind"), to melodramatic spaghetti western epics ("Lonesome Billy" by Ennio Morricone and Peter Tevers) and more. It should be noted that nearly half the tracks here are short comedy skits from Burgundy and members of his news crew (Champ Kind and Brian Fontana); the best of these is most definitely "Ladykillers." This also includes throwback favorites from Neil Diamond, England Dan & John Ford Coley, Kenny Loggins, and Hot Chocolate.
