Ralph Breaks the Internet (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Moving away from the coin-op video game references of Wreck-It Ralph, the English composer dives into online and cinematic worlds for inspiration on the sequel’s soundtrack. There’s “Vanellope’s March”, which salutes “The Imperial March” from Star Wars, and the similarly opulent and foreboding “Pulling the Plug”. Tucked within is an uplifting track from Imagine Dragons and a catchy 8-bit earworm from Vietnamese pop artists Uni5 and Han Sara. Meanwhile, actor/comedian Sarah Silverman lives every kid’s dream and bursts into a sweeping Disney tune cowritten by Alan Menken (“A Place Called Slaughter Race”) while Julia Michaels performs an electro-pop version of the same song (retitled “In This Place”).
